The Sounder Tour

Sounder Report 2017

The 2017 Sounder Ski Tour was on Sunday January 29. This year more than 200 skiers participated in the event. The fact that the event was included in the SOD Race series helped attract more skiers from other southern Ontario clubs. It is great to see that the Sounder Ski Tour attracts skiers from age 4 to 87 with a wide range of abilities.

A very special note of appreciation to our trail maintenance team who spent many hours on Saturday getting the trails and course ready for Sunday. The trails were amazing! The snow sculptures built by the Jackrabbits that weekend also added to the festive atmosphere.

Many volunteers have made this event possible with the tasks of registration, serving food, timing, trail marshal, and parking attendant just to name a few. Thank you to everyone who helped and who supports this club event. Looking forward to the Sounder Ski Tour 2018 already…
