Ladies, mark your calendars for Sunday, January 21, 2018 for Women on Skis event.

There will be food, fun and camaraderie while you pick up tips from our congenial and expert instructors out on the trails. Enjoy a delicious lunch and snacks in the Burrow. It is a great way to meet other skiing enthusiasts. Did I mention there are great door-prizes?

How does the day look?

8:30 Registration and coffee

9:00-11:45 SMALL GROUP LESSONS Choose your technique and level when you register.


  • First-timers -for true beginners who have never been on skis

  • Novice -You have done a little skiing on flat or gentle grades and have never had a lesson

  • Intermediate – You have the basics, and enjoy getting out but you know your technique needs a good boost

  • Advanced skiers – You need to fine tune your technique


  • Novice – You are a classic skier who wants to try Skate Skiing

  • Intermediate – You have the basics but you know your technique needs a good boost

  • Advance – You are fairly fit and you need to fine-tune your technique.

11:45 LUNCH Hot soup, salads and sandwiches to refuel and swap stories.

1:15 – 3:15 AFTERNOON ACTION Choose one of the following options when you register.

  • Ski the trails with an instructor/guide and put your morning lessons to the test. Skiers will go in loosely levelled groups.

  • Snowshoe with a guide on some of the new snowshoe/bike trails around GNSCC beginners and experienced snowshoers welcome.

  • Fat Biking and a Short Snowshoe Combo Try out Fat Biking and do a short Snowshoe

3:15 – Return to the Burrow for a hot Chocolate before you hit the road.

The cost for GNSCC members is $50; non-members $65.

Ski rentals are available by reservation at the GNSCC Burrow (705 746 5067) which opens when the trails are ready.

Registration starts Dec. 1st, in person at the White Squall Town Store, on-line at www.georgiannordic.com, and once the trails are open Registration forms will be at the Burrow.
